Leo Dan covers

I never thought that my covers of Leo Dan music would bring me so many YouTube views, although my cover of Te he Prometido by Leo Dan did not reach 1,000 thousand YouTube views within a week. It did manage to get to 400 YouTube views within a month. On the other hand my cover of Como te Extraño by Leo Dan did reach over 800 YouTube views within a month. My goal is to have these Leo Dan covers to reach 2,000 Youtube views within the next month. Please enjoy my Leo Dan covers of Te he Prometido and Como te Extraño.

Learn Spanish through Spanish songs!

My brief bio:
Born in Vietnam, and raised in America; my musical influences are a fusion from my mother singing in Chinese, my metal/goth rebellion phase, my love for rich melodies from artists such as Bjork, Rufus Wainwright, Stina Nordenstam, Fiest, Bat for Lashes and Shannon Wright. Furthermore to top it all off, I have a huge soft spot for Latin music, food, and culture. I recently started posting videos on Youtube under the user name Datzuya, in which I cover some of my favorite songs by Leo Dan and Angeles Azules in the hopes to better my Spanish speaking skills. My Spanish still needs a lot of work, however I feel more immerse into the language than I ever did before. Furthermore I feel more confident speaking what I do know and less shy about making mistakes.
Better your Spanish in 4 simple fun steps:
  1. Find your favorite Spanish song by someone you really like, if you do not know of any Spanish artists, ask a friend who is into Latin music, I'm sure they will have some great suggestions. If you don't know anyone that is into Latin music, search google or youtube for popular Spanish songs.
  2. Once you have found your song, practice it in syllables such as "La's" or "Do's". The objective behind this is for you to memorize the song and how the melody is sung.
  3. Now that you have memorized the melody of the song and have the lyrics in hand, here is where you will need someone who speaks Spanish fluently to help. Ask them to go over the lyrics of the song slowly and in the rhythm of the melody, remember very slow, you want to get all the pronunciations correct.
Once you have followed the steps above, have fun and sing your heart out! Below are some Spanish songs that I've covered.
